These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Silver Footfalls website at silverfootfalls.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Silver Footfalls is operated from Scotland, United Kingdom. These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and England and Wales.

1. Who may use this site

The Site contains content that may be suitable for mature audiences only. By using the Site you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are accessing the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian who has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

Some individual chapters are rated for mature themes. When you encounter a chapter with a mature content warning, you will be asked to confirm that you understand the nature of the content before it is displayed to you.

2. Accounts

You sign in to Silver Footfalls using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for any activity that occurs under your account on the Site. Please notify us immediately at admin@silverfootfalls.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Purchases

Chapters and other content may be purchased individually at the prices shown on the Site. Purchases are one-off payments; there are no subscriptions. Once a chapter is unlocked for your account it remains accessible to you.

All payments are processed by third-party providers (currently Stripe). We never see or store your payment card details. By making a purchase you also agree to the relevant payment provider’s terms and conditions.

4. Refunds

Because purchased content is delivered digitally and made immediately available, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

If you experience a technical problem that prevents you from accessing content you have paid for, please contact us at admin@silverfootfalls.com and we will do our best to resolve the issue promptly.

Consumers in the United Kingdom and European Union may have statutory rights to a refund for digital content that is not as described or is faulty. Nothing in these Terms limits those statutory rights.

5. Intellectual property

All stories, text, audio, images, and other content on the Site are the property of Silver Footfalls or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

When you purchase a chapter you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read and listen to that content for your own private, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not:

Silver Footfalls publishes AI-assisted fiction. Stories are works of imagination and any resemblance to real persons, places, or events is coincidental. Content is provided for entertainment purposes only.

Some chapters contain mature themes, including but not limited to violence, romance, and adult situations. These chapters are clearly labelled with a heat rating. By proceeding past a mature content warning you confirm you are willing to engage with that content.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Silver Footfalls shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or its content. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Site shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the Site available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time. Where we remove purchased content, we will endeavour to give reasonable notice and to offer a fair remedy.
